Impact of international Financial Reporting Standards

Request

I am requesting, under the terms of the FoI act, any assessment the SHA has made of the impact of International Financial Reporting Standards on its budget for the next two financial years.

*******************************************************

Our Response

I refer to your email of 21 January requesting information in respect of our assessment of the impact of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) on NHS East Midlands’ budget for the next two financial years.

The move to IFRS accounting is a change in accounting policy that is not expected to result in any change in NHS expenditure, although there may be an impact on the timing of recognition of income and expenditure.  However, NHS East Midlands has no budget for IFRS implementation in the East Midlands.

If you are dissatisfied with the way in which we have dealt with your request you can complain in writing to:-
