email of 16 July requesting information in respect of Primary Care
Trust use of private sector providers and FESC to support their
commissioning functions.
I can confirm in
accordance with S.1 (1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 that
we do hold some of the information that you have
requestedand
this is as follows:-
You initially ask how
the procurement was conducted. I can confirm that the
procurement was not conducted through the FESC process. It
was a normal tender.

Please note that
this contract was a national piece of work led by South Central on
behalf of a number of SHAs. Derbyshire County
Primary
Care trust was one of the 9 Primary Care Trusts in
our region to engage in this work and the total contract value for
the region was split between the 9 PCTs, based on the normal
capitation arrangements.
