The arrangements for very senior managers’

Remuneration
Committees may recommend variable performance payments, up to a
maximum of 7% of reckonable pay for any one individual.
Recommendations are subject to the approval of the 'grandparent'
organisation - for Strategic Health Authorities, this is the
Department of Health. The total performance pay pot is 5% of
reckonable pay bill. The performance categories are clearly set out
in the Pay Framework for Very Senior Managers. The Framework
also makes clear that, where an organisation fails to meet its
financial control target, none of its senior executives receives
annual uplifts to their basic salaries, or any performance-related
payments. The following link will direct you to the DH Pay
Framework:-
