Spend on Storage Space

Request

This is a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act (2000). In the last year for which records are available, how much money did your Strategic Health Authority spend on comercially hiring storage space?

This includes professional archiving services, self storage companies and all other vendors of storage space.

Our Response

I refer to your email requesting information in respect of NHS East Midlands spend on storage space.

I can confirm in accordance with S.1 (1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) that we do hold the information that you have requested.

The storage of long term documents held when NHS East Midlands was restructured in 2002 cost £5,552.50 during the last financial year.

The storage of furniture and other equipment accumulated by NHS East Midlands cost £26,759.06 during the last financial year.  This cost should be considered in the context of a major restructure last year which resulted in the temporary storage of a large amount of office furniture.  However, this furniture has subsequently been disposed of and the cost has been reduced to nil.

We do not at the present time have any further furniture storage requirements.

I hope that this information is of use.  If you are dissatisfied with the way in which we have dealt with your request you can ask us to review our decision by writing to:-
