Could you please answer the following questions:

1. Which of the following options best describes the Trust's/Organisation's policy for recruiting interim/contract staff:

a) We have a documented policy to recruit via specific agencies

b) We have a documented policy to recruit using the free NHS interim jobs board 'NHS Contract Jobs' (http://www.nhscontractjobs.co.uk)

c) We have no fixed documented policy for recruiting interim or contract staff

2. Is your HR Director / Head of HR aware of the free NHS interim jobs board 'NHS Contract Jobs' (http://www.nhscontractjobs.co.uk) as an alternative to paying for recruiting interim staff?

3. Does your Trust's public website contain a link to the free NHS interim jobs board 'NHS Contract Jobs'?

Our response

I refer to your email requesting information in respect of NHS East Midlands’ recruitment of interim/contract staff. 

I can confirm in accordance with S.1 (1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) that we do hold the information that you have requested.

2. Is your HR Director / Head of HR aware of the free NHS interim jobs board 'NHS Contract Jobs' (http://www.nhscontractjobs.co.uk) as an alternative to paying for recruiting interim staff?

• The HR Director is aware of the free NHS interim jobs board “NHS Contract Jobs” as an alternative to paying for recruiting interim staff.

3. Does your Trust's public website contain a link to the free NHS interim jobs board 'NHS Contract Jobs'?

• Our website does not at the moment contain a link to the free NHS interim jobs board.  However the NHS East Midlands Communications Team has now been asked to develop this facility.  Please note that NHS East Midlands is a Strategic Health Authority and not a Trust.
