To whom it may concern,

FOI Request – Wide Area Network Services

I am an independent researcher carrying out a study on public sector broadband spending and procurement patterns across the UK.   I will be happy to forward you a copy of my findings.  Please e-mail me at the address below should you require a copy.

Please could you provide me with the following information regarding your WAN services provision?

  • Do you have a Community of Interest Network (COIN)? If so, who is your incumbent provider?

  • What services do they provide?

  • To how many end sites do they provide connectivity?

  • What is your annual spend for connectivity to the above sites?

  • Does your network encompass other health services such as GP’s, dentists or pharmacies?

  • When did your current contract begin with the incumbent provider?

  • When does the current contract end?

  • I am interested to find out how you procure your services for WAN. Do you currently use the services of a Procurement Hub such as a PRO-CURE, Health Informatics, Shared Services or Connecting for Health or anything similar?

  • If not how do you procure you services for WAN?
