Providing leadership and developing a Inclusion strategy which integrates and promotes inclusion within the services and employment opportunities provided by NHS East Midlands Strategic Health Authority (NHS-EM SHA) and NHS Organisations.
Supporting our Directorates and NHS organisations to become compliant with Equality and Human Rights legislation, share good practice and work with colleagues to reduce inequalities.
Acting as the primary reference point for organisations in NHS East Midlands in building and implementing national inclusion strategies, working closely with the National Inclusion Lead and other stakeholders.
Supporting our Directorates and NHS organisations to reflect the communities we serve at all levels.
Promoting our work and NHS organisations on a national and international level.
Providing support and advice to colleagues and NHS Organisations Chief Executive and the Board members regarding inclusion performance, practices and achievements within the region.
Supporting NHS East Midlands and organisations Senior Management Team (SMT) and Boards Inclusion Champions to embed Inclusion into their policies and plans via Inclusion champions.
Helping NHS East Midlands and organisations to set local recruitment, retention and progression Inclusion targets and embed inclusion in to Talent and Leadership Plan.
Helping NHS Eat Midlands and organisations to undertake Inclusion and Equality Impact Assessments (EqIAs).
Organising regional Inclusion sharing of good practice seminars and conferences.
Supporting the learning and development of colleagues and NHS Organisation Boards and Senior Management Teams (SMT) on inclusion through training seminars and master classes.
Working with and supporting our regional recognised unions and diversity staff support networks.
