The audit process is not a pass or
fail. The aim is to identify areas of good practice and areas for
future development to ensure that the standards of supervision as
set by the NMC (2004) are met.
Following the visit the LSA
Midwifery Officer will produce a report utilising the contributions
from the panel members. On receipt of the report the trust is
expected to formulate an action plan identifying areas for
development. The action plan will be forwarded to the LSA Midwifery
Officer.
The following visit will review the
action plan in addition to the audit review.
